Why IEOR 190G?

I am taking the course because I find the course material very interesting. As the professor has mentioned the first class, this is probably the only course that teaches patent in an engineering context.
I also thought it would be very useful to integrate the knowledge of the course with the possible commercial aspects of it, so learning about the recent mobile patent war would be valuable.

While many probably still do not know a lot about patent engineering, the knowledge from this class would probably be extremely beneficial in many aspects in years to come.
